Meet the Chef

Chef Gene

Executive Chef Gene Breckenridge began his culinary career at the Greater Cincinnati Culinary Arts Academy, in affiliation with the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). Upon graduation he began working chef positions in various fine- dining restaurants in Cincinnati, Ohio including Stouffers 4-Star restaurant, the "Top of the Crown". Chef Breckenridge decided he wanted to return to Norfolk, Virginia where he did is military service in the Navy. He worked as the Executive Chef at hotels such as the Holiday Inn Executive Center and the Sheraton Oceanfront. His most recent venture was working as the Executive Chef at Breckenridge Restaurant & Lounge in Olde Towne Portsmouth, Virginia.

Edmonds Center is pleased to have Chef Breckenridge aboard, and is looking forward to the future with high expectations.


The Edmonds Center is located in the rear annex of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Portsmouth, VA.
